2. If I send a message to this site, will it get to Hugh?

No. This is an unofficial fan site run by an American fan. I don't have any contact with Hugh or his agents. I can't forward messages, and it's unlikely that any comments left in the guestbook will be seen by him. Your best bet is to write to the addresses above.

3. Does Hugh actually do the singing and piano-playing on Jeeves and Wooster, House, etc.?

Hugh does all of Bertie's singing, and to the best of my knowledge and belief, all of his piano-playing as well. Hugh also does most if not all of House's playing, and his brief moments of singing. Hugh is a largely self-taught musician. He took piano as a child, was bored by it, and gave it up after a year or so. He took it up again on his own at university.

4. Is there a CD of the Jeeves and Wooster music, and where can I get it?

There was a CD, called "The World of Jeeves and Wooster", put out by EMI, but it's no longer available. If you're in the U.K., you might get lucky and find a copy lurking in a record store somewhere. For everyone else, there's Derek Keevil's excellent J and W website, where you'll find the entire CD on MP3 files. Derek goes EMI one better by including all the series music - the actual CD omitted several gems such as "47 Ginger-Headed Sailors".

5. What kind of car is Bertie driving in J and W?

A 1927 Aston Martin.

6.When is Hugh's next book coming out?

Unknown. Periodically, amazon.com and amazon.co.uk update the publication date for The Paper Soldier by a year or so, but there is no official word. It seems to be on indefinite hiatus.

7. Is A Bit of Fry & Laurie available on video?

Yes. All four seasons are now available on DVD. Check amazon.com or your favorite internet video source.

8. Is or was Hugh married to Imelda Staunton?

No. This rumor seems to have sprung up because (a)they play a married couple in two films (Peter's Friends and Sense & Sensibility), and (b) it's known that Hugh dated one of his early co-stars. In fact, it was Emma Thompson with whom he had a romance while both were at Cambridge. Hugh and Imelda have never been romantically involved. Hugh married Jo Green in 1989, and Imelda and her husband, Jim Carter, married in the early 80s.

9. Where can I get sheet music for the music on Jeeves and Wooster?

You can purchase the sheet music for the theme from Buffalo Music Ltd. You might also try asking on alt.fan.wodehouse, where there are some posters who are knowledgeable about music of this period.
